Dainichi is a company who's roots started with a love for the Uwa Sea, Japan's premier fish farming area. In those days, feed efficiency was very poor, this led to our involvement in the development of moist pellets, a totally new and eco-friendly feed. In order to continue to grow while protecting the Uwa sea's riches, we believe a multidirectional approach that encompasses an unwavering improvement in feed and farming technology is needed with a global field of vision.

Our established position is that of an Aquaculture Total Support company utilizing the experience and know-how we have cultivated so far. Our eyes turned toward the world , out target markets open before us.
In North America and Europe, one can see a deeper of understanding for the "healthy food culture" of Japan. As well as in Asian a change has also been seen in food culture, where until recent it was not custom to eat raw fish. This has led to large growth in the aquaculture fish industry.
In the development of our global activities, we are always thinking about how to proceed in the international arena, from establishing Kainan seafood center as a export base for fresh fish 30 minutes from Kansai International Airport, to business promotion via overseas partners, the use of foreign staff and students or the creation of a common enterprise with the foreign company. Dainichi is always thinking and acting "outside the box".
