- Established a processing plant to produce frozen pilchards in Ainan City.

- Established Uchiumi Suisan and commenced marine aquaculture.

- Acquired all the shares of Isekin Shoten, an intermediate wholesaler at Tokyo’s Ota Market, and made it a wholly owned subsidiary.

- Established the Hachinohe Factory for the production of squid extract in Aomori.
