Participation in a Discussion on the Future of Aquaculture and Technological Innovation
We are excited to announce our participation once again in the Animal Health, Nutrition & Technology Innovation Symposium, held this October 7-8 in Tokyo with over 150 attendees.
Dainichi had the honor of moderating a panel discussion on “Overcoming the Greatest Hurdles to Propel the Aquaculture Industry,” focusing on how data-driven solutions can enhance production efficiency, resource utilization, and decision-making processes.
The panel featured key industry leaders, including Mr. Mile Yao of Sansheng Biotech, who shared insights on reproductive solutions and hormone applications in Chinese aquaculture. Mr. Evan Hall from Wittaya Aqua introduced their two AI-driven platforms: one for creating nutritionally optimized feed formulations and tracking their carbon footprints, and another for forecasting growth, mortality, and feed requirements for farmed species. Additionally, Dainichi’s partners, Mr. Masahiko Yamada of Umitron and Mr. Leo Wein of Protenga, contributed their expertise. Umitron focuses on using IoT, satellite sensing, and AI to enhance sustainable seafood production, while Protenga transforms palm oil waste into high-quality protein for animal feed through Black Soldier Fly larvae, contributing to a circular economy.
The discussion centered on how these emerging technologies will shape the future of aquaculture and explored opportunities for collaboration between tech innovators and aquaculture companies like ours.
